Training Center

Planet Goalie is very unique in the sense that not only are we a full service goalie retail and e-commerce business, but we also have a full service training center. This center focuses on one to one goalie training. Programs are designed around the special needs of each student/goalie. Our training staff is educated to all the latest and current techniques. All staff members are trained to break down and evaluate the specific needs of every goalie who trains at Planet Goalie.

Our training facility has the distinctive components necessary for a proper goalie training center. The first part of our training facility, we have a 50 X 25 sheet of synthetic ice specifically made for goalie training. This surface performs within ninety percent of real ice and is great for building leg strength during the skating techniques. Goalies are forced to work harder then they would on real ice; this build strength, speed and coordination.

The next part of our test center is our video analysis equipment. This video analysis equipment is on the training surface. Every goalie who trains at Planet Goalie is video taped during their one on one sessions. While a goalie takes water breaks between drills, they review the previous drill with the instructor, breaking down the good and the bad and being able to make adjustments and view problem areas. Once the goalie is done with their lesson, the student is given a DVD disk of their work that they can watch at home.
